Born in Barcelona, Spain, Ricard L. Befan started telling stories with images at the age of 5. First in comics, then in Super 8... Ricard explored all formats, from analogue video to 35 mm, during his first period of audiovisual experience.

The characters of his childhood and his weekly visits to the local cinema stamped a very cinematographic style on all his work, in which aesthetics and emotion go hand in hand in the service of a deep and complicit gaze.

After directing local television programmes and graduating from ESCAC, he entered the world of music videos, winning awards at international festivals from New York to Mumbai. His relationship with India led him to collaborate with the Bollywood industry, where he worked with composer/arranger Tushar Parte and singers Raveena Mehta, Siyaa and Natalie Diluccio.

After several years specialising in commercials, Ricard embarked on the preparation of a feature film to be shot in and around Bombay.
